The surgery is open at the following times

Monday:	08:30 to 20:00
Tuesday:	08:30 to 18:00
Wednesday:	08:30 to 18:00
Thursday:	08:30 to 18:00
Friday:	08:30 to 18:00
Saturday:	08:30 to 10:30

 

Monday Evening & Saturday Morning Surgeries

The Practice is open for pre-booked nurse and GP appointments on Monday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm. If there is a Bank Holiday on a Monday, the clinic will usually be moved to the Tuesday of that same week.

The Practice also offers some GP appointments on Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 10.30am.  These are all pre-booked appointments.

Reception is manned on Monday evening and Saturday morning during the hours stated above, enabling patients to also make personal visits to collect prescriptions, make appointments, etc.

If you telephone the surgery number during these hours you will be put through to the Out-of-Hours service NOT the surgery.

If you require urgent medical assistance during these hours (or at other times when the surgery is closed), please call on 01865 778244 and you will be put through to the Out-of-Hours service will be able to assist you.

When We Are Closed

We are closed between 6.00pm and 8.30am weekdays and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you need a doctor urgently when we are closed, please telephone 01865 (Oxford) 778244.

Your call will be automatically transferred to the doctors’ out-of-hours emergency service (operated by the Primary Care Trust) where staff will take all necessary details.

One of the duty doctors will then call you back and either give appropriate advice over the telephone, invite you to visit the out-of-hours surgery or, in serious and urgent cases, visit you at home.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
