Open Surgery
Open Surgery each weekday morning. If you arrive before 10am you can almost always see a doctor, usually your own. You may have to wait as patients are seen in turn. Open Surgery can be very busy so, if you have complex problems, it would be better to make an appointment.

Out of Hours
We are closed between 6.00pm and 8.30am weekdays and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you need a doctor urgently when we are closed, please telephone Oxford 778244.

Home Visits
If you are too frail or sick to attend surgery, please contact Reception before 10.30am if possible. If you explain to the Receptionist exactly what is wrong, it will help the doctor see the most urgent cases first.

bluepillsTo request a repeat prescription, please:

  • Tick the box(es) on the right hand side of your last prescription and place in the box at Reception;
  • You may post your request form with a stamped return envelope and we will return the new prescription to you;
  • You may request by telephone or in person at Reception after 11am.

Prescriptions will be ready for collection, or will be posted, after 2pm the following weekday (ie Monday – Friday).

If you wish, you can arrange for the Pharmacy (Chemist) of your choice to collect your prescriptions for you and you can get your medication directly from them.

Please remember that if you choose this service, the prescription will be passed to the Pharmacy after 2pm on the weekday after you contact us and there may be a further delay before you can collect it.

EMIS Access

You can now use the EMIS Access online system to book appointments and request repeat prescriptions. You will need to obtain your pin number from reception first. While this system is new, we are continuing to support our existing system for repeat prescriptions.
