Open Surgery
Open Surgery each weekday morning. If you arrive before 10am you can almost always see a doctor, usually your own. You may have to wait as patients are seen in turn. Open Surgery can be very busy so, if you have complex problems, it would be better to make an appointment.

Out of Hours
We are closed between 6.00pm and 8.30am weekdays and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you need a doctor urgently when we are closed, please telephone Oxford 778244.

Home Visits
If you are too frail or sick to attend surgery, please contact Reception before 10.30am if possible. If you explain to the Receptionist exactly what is wrong, it will help the doctor see the most urgent cases first.

Welcome to The Leys Health Centre

baby_tummyWe are a practice of 8 GPs assisted by three Practice Nurses and two Health Care Assistants. From time to time we need to employ locums to cover absences.  In addition, we have District Nurses, Health Visitors, a podiatry service, speech and language therapists and a range of psychotherapy professionals attached to the practice.

Our aim is to provide an effective and personal service, working confidentially in partnership with you, to achieve a high standard of medical care in a friendly and professional manner.

We are open from 8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.  There are additional booked appointments available on Monday evening until 8.00pm and on Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 11.30am.

We have good wheelchair access & disabled toilet facilities.

We hope to use our surgery website as a way of presenting all our patients with an up to date resource for all information relating to our practice. We will keep it current with any news, developments & details that are relevant to the practice & our patients.

EMIS Access - Online Booking

You can now use the EMIS Access online system to book appointments and request repeat prescriptions. You will need to obtain your pin number from reception first. While this system is new, we are continuing to support our existing system for repeat prescriptions.
