Training Practice - GPs of the future
The Leys Health Centre is an accredited Training Practice. Accreditation is a mark of clinical and administrative excellence.
As a Training Practice hospital doctors come here as part of their ongoing professional training and development to gain the necessary experience they need to become GPs.
In the future we may also have Foundation grade (F1 or F2) doctors who may or may not go on to a career in General Practice.
All these doctors are fully qualified and are supervised by one of the Practice Partners.
On occasions your consultation may be video recorded for teaching purposes. This will not be done without your consent.
Please note that, in order to maintain the practice's accreditation as a training practice, the quality of our medical records may be inspected and assessed from time to time by the Oxford Deanery (who have responsibility for GP training).
If you have any concerns about the above, please contact the Practice Manager.
Medical students and Nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We hope that you will co-operate with us in helping the students to learn about general practice. However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
